Ogles was named interim dean of the college in May 2005...?Following an extensive national search, it became apparent that Dr. Benjamin Ogles is the best person to serve as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences,? McDavis said. ?Serving as interim dean, Ben displayed the ideal professional and personal qualities for this position. As an advocate for the mission of public higher education, he is dedicated to providing the best possible learning environment for our students.?..As dean, Ogles will provide leadership for the college's 19 departments, multiple interdisciplinary and specialized programs, research centers and institutes, and education abroad.
