11/1/2006..Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre named at Ohio University.Center named for prominent Cleveland-area residents..ATHENS, Ohio (Nov. 1, 2006) -- Ohio University celebrated today the naming of the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre in the College of Business. The Ohio University Board of Trustees passed a resolution that approved the official naming of the center during its recent meeting. Ralph and Luci Schey are residents of Gates Mills, Ohio..."The Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre is truly a unique program that continues to meet the needs of current and future Ohio University students," Ohio University President Roderick J. McDavis said. "The skills that students develop at the center are useful in a variety of academic pursuits and careers. Statistics show that up to 65 percent of college graduates' first professional jobs are in sales-related roles."..Ralph Schey was a guiding force behind the creation of the center in 1997. He challenged the university to get involved in sales education.
